The challenge of providing safe and usable water has posed much threat to the survival of persons in rural communities. This is because there is no available potable water.

OneHopeChildren took further steps to provide water for the people through sinking boreholes to source water in the communities.

We mounted this effort because children had to travel more than 10 miles in search of water before going to school, and in many instances either were late or unable to attend because of the lack of water (as was my experience growing up).

Additionally, children need clean water to drink and shower. Lives have been transformed and made better by the sustained provision of this water.
