Although OneHopechildren Inc. wwas officially incorporated in 2008, its history dates back decades to when Fr. Felix Ugwuozor was growing up as a child.

The name and the guiding philosophy of OneHopeChildren, Inc. was conceived in the context of his reflections on the incredible faith, courage, resilience and hope his parents displayed in the face of the enormous financial burden they undertook in being dedicated to providing their six children with good educations. Fr. Felix's experience as a Registrar and Academic Dean of the Social Science Department at the Institute of Ecumenical Education, Thinkers Corner Enugu (now renamed the Bishop Godfrey Okoye University) was equally significant in setting the stage for what is known as OneHopechildren, Inc.

* December, 2000, OneHopeChildren, Inc. was inaugurated with a twelve-member advisory council to identify children who are most in need, intelligent, and love education but are unlikely to be afforded one because their families are financially strapped. The following are the members

He was also Pastor at St. Patrick Ogbete, St. John Agwu, St. Mary Ngwo, and now at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Idaw-River Layout Enugu. He is Scholar and Research Fellow.

OneHopeChildren, Inc was incorporated on March 28, 2008, and was registered and attained 501 (c) (3) Tax-Exempt Status on September 13, 2010. In ten short years, with very few resources, we have aided 6 children in completing their high school diplomas, 2 of whom are now studying at university. In addition, we have over 17 children in primary and secondary school with hundreds of children on our waiting list.
