OneHopeChildren was a product
of our founder's unfaltering reflection on the virtue
of hope that kept his parents strong despite overwhelming
difficulties. The abiding hope they kept in their hearts
was that somehow, someday their pain and sacrifices
would pay off. The possessed that inner "will"
that insists, "despite all the evidence to the
contrary, that something better awaits them [and their
children] so long as they have the courage to keep
(President Obama, 2012). It was his parents'
example that set the stage for the initial idea of what
came to be known as OneHopeChildren.
